Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids

In Partnership with King Township

Join us for our Children's Musical Theatre Program! Kids ages 7-12 will work with experienced instructors to put on an officially licensed production of Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids. Over the course of eight sessions, children will learn how to sing, dance, and act, building fundamental theatre skills and confidence along the way.

The program will culminate in a performance for friends and family on Laskay Hall's newly renovated stage.

In our program, every child is a star! We prioritize inclusivity and fun just as much as learning. No experience is necessary—just bring your creativity and excitement! Make new friends and discover the magic of theatre.

Program Details

Ages 7-12. Maximum 20 Participants.

8 Sessions from January 12th - March 2nd, 2025. A final performance for friends and family will occur during the final session on March 2nd.

Sundays from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Classes and the final performance will occur on Laskay Hall's newly renovated stage at the King Heritage & Culutral Centre located at 2920 King Road, King City, with the exception of the first class happening at the King Township Municipal Centre Gym right up the street.

This program costs $438.10 for King Township Residents and $481.91 for Non-Residents. No HST is charged for this program.

Financial support for eligible registrants is available through King Township's Community Assistance Program (CAP).

About the Show

This high-energy 30-minute musical is based on the classic Dodie Smith novel and the beloved Disney films.

Join Roger, Anita, Pongo, Perdita, and their pups as they race their way through madcap adventures and thwart the villainous Cruella De Vil. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favourite Disney songs including “Cruella De Vil” and “Dalmatian Vacation.” With colourful characters and irresistible songs, 101 Dalmatians Kids is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages!

Program Instructors

Chloë Rose Flowers - King Theatre Company

Chloë Rose Flowers is so excited to be directing 101 Dalmatians Kids! Chloë is committed to making theatre an enriching, joyful, and transformative experience for young artists. With years of experience directing children’s theatre camps and working with elementary and middle-grade students, Chloë brings warmth, expertise, and creativity to her teaching.

Aside from launching King Theatre Company, Chloë has worked for theatre companies across Ontario. She is an award-winning performer, playwright, and producer. Chloë holds an honours degree in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies from the University of Toronto and has studied under industry-leading mentors. A huge fan of Disney, Chloë recently worked on The Lion King at Mirvish Productions, and starred on-stage as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

Adrian Forestieri - King Township

Adrian Forestieri is an experienced musician with a diverse vocal and instrumental music background. Proficient in piano, guitar, and French horn, he has performed in various settings, including choral ensembles, orchestras, and recitals. Adrian has led musical groups through rehearsals and performances, coordinating arrangements and ensuring cohesive interpretations of pieces. He has also taught music at the K-12 level, sharing his expertise with students of all ages and fostering their growth in technique and musical understanding. His work includes contributing to ensemble performances on French horn and providing rhythmic and melodic support.

Adrian served as the Director of Camps and Inclusion Services in King Township, bringing over four years of experience working with youth. His leadership focused on creating inclusive, engaging programs that fostered growth and community for campers and staff alike. Program Structure

Over the course of eight engaging sessions, children will develop their singing, dancing, and acting skills while building confidence and essential performance techniques. Together, they’ll bring Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids to life in a memorable final performance.

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and understanding the importance of ensemble work. Together, we’ll begin learning a group number in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Roles will be assigned based on participation and enthusiasm during this session—no formal auditions required, making the process fun and stress-free. Every child will have the opportunity to shine in their own unique role.

Throughout the next six sessions, the group will work together to bring the show to life. We’ll celebrate every child’s creativity and progress.

Our program culminates in a special performance for friends and family on Laskay Hall’s newly renovated stage during the latter portion of our eighth and final session on March 2nd.

Program Expectations

At our children’s educational programs, fun and creativity take centre stage! To make sure every participant has a fantastic experience, we follow a few important guidelines.

Children are expected to show respect for their fellow participants, instructors, and the environment we share.

Kindness & Support

Our programs thrive on teamwork and friendship. Every child is encouraged to uplift and support their peers. Bullying or unkind behaviour of any kind is not tolerated—our goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone to shine.

Hard Work & Commitment

Participation is key! While sessions are designed to be fun and engaging, we also emphasize effort. Children are expected to enthusiastically participate in learning their scenes, songs, and choreography during rehearsals. Outside of class, there’s minimal homework—just memorizing lines and practicing to be ready for the next session.

Following these guidelines creates a positive, supportive environment where children can grow in confidence, build friendships, and develop valuable skills both on and off the stage.
